Tuesday forecast for Austin: A possibly rainy day is ahead, y’all!
Rain was already moving across the Austin area Tuesday morning and forecasters say a 20% chance of rain will last until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Cloudy skies will gradually become mostly sunny throughout the day as temperatures rise to a high temperature of 80 degrees.
South winds blowing 5 to 15 mph during the day may have gusts as high as 25 mph.
Nighttime skies will be partly cloudy as temperatures drop to a low around 55 degrees.
Rain chances will increase to 30% overnight and last between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., forecasters said.
South winds blowing 5 to 10 mph will become northwest after midnight and could have gusts as high as 20 mph.
More rain will be possible on Wednesday, according to the weather service’s extended forecast:
Wednesday: Sunny with a 20% chance of rain before 7 a.m. and a high near 73. North winds blowing 5 to 10 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Mostly clear at night with a low around 47.
Thanksgiving Day: Mostly sunny with a high near 79. Mostly cloudy at night with a 30% chance of rain after 1 a.m. and a low around 64.
Friday: High near 74 with an 80% chance of rain. Low around 53 at night with an 80% chance of rain.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of rain and a high near 62. North winds blowing 10 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Mostly cloudy at night with a 60% chance of rain and a low around 45.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a 40% chance of rain and a high near 63 Partly cloudy at night with a 20% chance of rain and a low around 40.
Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 58.
