Austin-Travis County health authorities on Monday said one more person in the area has died from coronavirus-related complications.

The county’s coronavirus death toll is now at 442, according to local health authorities.

Austin-Travis County health authorities on Monday said 133 more people have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 30,398.

Officials said of those cases, 764 are considered active.

Currently, the county estimates that 29,192 people have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. The county also said that 88 people who tested positive for the virus are in Austin-area hospitals. This includes 10 people who are new admissions.

The seven-day rolling average for new coronavirus-related hospitalizations for the Austin area is currently 14.6. Austin Mayor Steve Adler last week said local health authorities may allow for larger gatherings if the county’s seven-day moving average for new hospital admissions drops to 10.

Of those hospitalized, 32 were in intensive care and 22 were on ventilators Monday.

Of those who tested positive for COVID-19 so far in the pandemic, 50% were Hispanic, according to recent Austin data. Non-Hispanic whites made up about 32% of cases, 7% are Black and 3% are Asian.

According to the 2019 census estimates, the county is about 49% non-Hispanic white, 9% Black, 7.4% Asian, and 33.6% of the population is Hispanic.
