Round Rock parks and trails will remain open during Easter weekend, city spokesman Will Hampton said Thursday.

“We are asking patrons, again, to practice social distancing, stay home if sick and other measures to keep themselves and other park users safe,” Hampton said in an email.

Hampton said the city has placed signs at every city park and along trails to remind park-goers to continue practicing social distancing.

“The signs also serve as a reminder of the importance of personal responsibility,” Hampton said.

Williamson County and the cities of Cedar Park and Taylor are closing their parks and trails during the Easter weekend. The parks and trails will be closed from sunset on Thursday until sunrise on April 13, officials said.

“The safety and welfare of our citizens is of utmost importance right now,” said Williamson County Parks and Recreation Director Russell Fishbeck.

City parks and trails in nearby Pflugerville also will be closed during Easter weekend.
