Randall’s workers get $2-an-hour pay raise during pandemic – News – Austin American-Statesman

Randall’s workers will receive a $2-an-hour raise as stores stay open during the coronavirus pandemic, Albertsons Companies announced last week.

Workers who will receive a raise include e-commerce pickers and drivers and employees in stores, distribution centers and manufacturing plants.

All union and non-union employees are included in the pay raise.

The increase went into effect on March 15 and will last until at least March 28, grocery officials said in a statement.

“The company will evaluate the situation on an ongoing basis and make changes as necessary,” the statement says.
