Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Valero convenience store in East Austin on Sunday night.
Austin police said an unidentified man entered the convenience store at 5301 Manor Road near East 51st Street around 8:15 p.m.
The man held the clerks at gunpoint while demanding money. He then fled on foot with cash from the registers, authorities said.
Police believe the robbery was committed by the same man who robbed a Valero gas station at 4311 Springdale Road on Nov. 18 and that he may live in the area.
He was last seen wearing a white and gray jacket, flat brimmed baseball cap with a gold logo, long black face covering, gray pants, black gloves, and black Air Jordan tennis shoes with white soles.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the robbery tip line at 512-974-5092 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted on the Crime Stoppers website, the Crime Stoppers app or through the Austin PD mobile app.
All information is anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
