Authorities are looking for two men who police say robbed a 7-Eleven store in Northeast Austin last month.

The two men ran off after robbing the convenient store and gas station around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Howard Lane and Interstate 35 North on Sept. 30, police said.

The pair waited outside the store for about 30 minutes until it was empty before they entered with guns and demanded money from an employee, police said.

Police also released video footage of the robbery.

“Video footage shows a number of customers entering and exiting the store during that period who may have witnessed the two suspects in the area,” Austin police said in a written statement Monday.

Police said one of the men, who was described as thin, having short black hair, about 5-foot-7 and wearing a black Nike jacket, athletic-style pants, black cap with gold lettering and a white facial covering, pointed a black handgun at the employee at the counter.

Authorities said a second man, described as stocky and about 5-foot-5, also had a gun and acted as a lookout. Police said he was wearing a burnt orange University of Texas hoodie and a camouflage facial covering.

Austin police did not specify how much money was taken from the store.

People can submit tips to the Austin Police Department at 512-974-5092, or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.
