Austin police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman at knife point in Northeast Austin early Wednesday.
Authorities say a woman was walking toward her apartment sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. when a man armed with a knife forced her into an SUV, according to a statement from Austin police. Authorities did not say where the woman’s apartment building is located.
The man, who spoke both English and Spanish, drove her to a location near the 7000 block of Grand Canyon Drive and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The woman was eventually released and called 911, according to the statement.
She described the man as approximately 5-foot-9 tall, slim, clean shaven and with a flat top haircut. She said the vehicle was possibly a black, mid ’90s two door Chevrolet Blazer, police said.
