Authorities on Monday asked for the public’s help in finding those responsible for shooting a man during a road rage incident in Southeast Austin last week.
Around 9 a.m. on Nov. 25, officers responded to reports of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Montopolis Drive and East Riverside Drive, police said.
At the intersection, officers found a 20-year-old man with critical injuries. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where medical staff found a gunshot wound.
The man was still in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, according to Austin police.
Witnesses say one or more people inside a white four-door sedan fired multiple shots into the victim’s vehicle while driving east on Riverside Drive from Pleasant Valley Road.
Police released video of the suspected shooter’s vehicle and posted it on the Austin Police Department’s YouTube channel.
