Austin police are asking for the public’s help in gathering more information about the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in Southeast Austin late Friday.

At approximately 11:10 p.m., police received multiple calls about shots fired in a drive-by shooting at the 2200 block of East Stassney Lane, according to a news release from the Austin Police Department.

When officers and medics arrived on scene, they found Oscar San Juan Jamies, 19, with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries at 11:54 p.m., police said.

Homicide detectives were told by witnesses the incident was the result of an ongoing feud between people who knew each other, police said.

However, police said Jaimes was only visiting the address and may not have been the intended target.

Officer Michael Bullock said Saturday police have no suspects in custody and that the investigation is still ongoing.

Detectives are asking anyone with video or information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 512-974-TOPS or email homicide.apd@austintexas.gov.
