A person died Thursday morning after a crash involving four vehicles in North Austin that also left three teenagers and a younger child injured, Austin-Travis County EMS medics reported.

EMS medics responded around 10:04 a.m. to the crash at the intersection of West Rundberg Lane and Quail Field Drive, which is near the North Austin YMCA. Austin police said they initially had responded a block away on Collinfield Drive at 9:40 a.m. to reports of a power outage in the area.

Four people were injured in the crash as well as one who was pinned inside a vehicle and unconscious, EMS medics said.

The pinned-in person was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries, medics said, but police confirmed at 12:35 p.m. that the person later died.

A teenager with injuries not considered life-threatening also was taken to Dell Seton.

Two other teenagers and a younger child were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center but their injuries were not expected to be life-threatening, EMS medics said.
