1:25 p.m. update: A lockout at McNeil High School has been lifted, according to Round Rock school district officials. The Williamson County sheriff’s office has concluded its investigation in the area, the district announced.
ROUND ROCK — McNeil High School is on lockdown Thursday because of an off-campus group fight, according to a tweet from Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody.
The school, which is part of the Round Rock school district, is at 5720 McNeil Drive in Austin.
Activities inside the school are proceeding normally but no one is allowed to leave the facility or enter it, Chody said in the tweet issued around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Further details were not yet available.
