Travis County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday arrested a woman after they found 30 to 40 kilograms of methamphetamine in her Wells Branch apartment.
Deputies responded to the 1900 block of Wells Branch Parkway around 6 p.m. Tuesday following reports of a natural gas smell at the complex.
When deputies arrived, Austin firefighters who were already at the location told them they saw a person running from the apartment.
Deputies said the odor was from a vehicle gas tank inside of the home.
Investigators were called in and found 30 to 40 kilograms of methamphetamine, deputies said.
Deputies arrested the apartment resident, Ana Angelica Jalomo, and charged her with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 40 grams.
