The Liberty Hill teenager who was killed Saturday night while riding a bicycle along Texas 29 has been identified as 14-year-old Alexander Sadler, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Sadler was riding a bicycle without a light east on Texas 29 in Liberty Hill when he was struck at 8:29 p.m. Saturday by a driver in a 2010 Prius, the report said.
Sadler died at the scene, according to the report. It said the teenager failed to ride as close as possible to the edge of the road. The driver has not been charged.
The Liberty Hill school district did not immediately respond Monday to a request for comment about whether Sadler was a student at a Liberty Hill school.
