Hays County health authorities on Monday said one more person, a Kyle man in his 60s, has died from coronavirus-related complications.

Local health officials also said they have received reports of 104 new lab-confirmed cases since Saturday. The county’s pandemic death toll is now 92, and its total case count as of Monday is 6,720.

Last week, county officials announced that the local health department will review its data each week, and make necessary updates to its online dashboards each Friday.

The local health department on Monday also reported two coronavirus-related hospitalizations, along with five discharges. Of the 403 people that have been hospitalized with the coronavirus to date, six were in medical facilities on Monday, officials said.

County health authorities also said 12 more people had recovered from the virus since Saturday.

Hays County health officials said they have now received 42,986 negative coronavirus test results.

“COVID is still very prominent in our community,” Hays County Epidemiologist Ian Harris said in a written statement on Monday. “With the upcoming holidays, we need everyone to take every precaution they can to slow the spread.”

The breakdown of all 6,720 reported cases, which includes recoveries and active cases, by city is:

Driftwood: 64

Dripping Springs: 172

Kyle: 2,090

Manchaca: 8

Maxwell: 9

Mountain City: 15

Niederwald: 31

San Marcos: 3,051

Uhland: 23

Wimberley: 128

Woodcreek: 2
