Hays County health authorities on Monday said three more people in the area have died from coronavirus-related complications since Saturday.
All three people — two women from Kyle and a man from Buda — were in their 70s. The county’s pandemic death toll is now 99, officials said Monday.
Health officials also said they received reports of 82 new lab-confirmed coronavirus cases over the weekend and on Monday, bringing the case count in the area to 7,042.
County health officials on Monday also reported five more coronavirus-related hospital admissions, along with five discharges.
As of Monday, 423 county residents have been hospitalized with COVID-19 during the pandemic, and 12 were in medical facilities on Monday, officials said.
County health authorities also said 15 more people had recovered from the virus since Saturday, and the total estimated number of recoveries is now 6,208.
Hays County health officials said they have now received 47,092 negative coronavirus test results.
