Hays County health authorities, who on Monday provided updates on local coronavirus data for the first time since Tuesday last week, said three more people in the area have died from coronavirus-related complications.

A man in his 90s, another one in his 80s and a woman in her 80s died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, officials said Monday. All three people were from Kyle, according to local health officials.

The county’s pandemic death toll is now 102, the local health department said Monday.

County health authorities also said they received reports of 281 new coronavirus cases since Tuesday last week, bringing the total case count in the county to 7,378. Officials also reported eight new coronavirus-related hospitalizations for the same time period, along with six new discharges.

Of the 434 county residents have been hospitalized with COVID-19 during the pandemic, 16 were in medical facilities on Monday, according to local health authorities.

County health authorities also said 214 more people had recovered from the virus since Tuesday last week, and the total estimated number of recoveries is now 6,504.

Hays County health officials said they have now received 51,690 negative coronavirus test results.

The local health department in Hays County has corrected its data several times since the start of the pandemic and recently has said it will now review its data each week, making necessary updates to its online dashboards each Friday. The American-Statesman will report changes in its Friday coronavirus reports.

The breakdown of all 7,378 reported cases, which includes recoveries and active cases, by city is:

Dripping Springs: 252

Kyle: 2,371

Manchaca: 9

Maxwell: 9

Mountain City: 17

Wimberley: 139

Woodcreek: 2
