The number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in Hays County remained stable on Tuesday, as officials reported a total of 160 known cases and recoveries on the rise.

Fifteen of the 81 who actively have the illness are in hospitals, Hays County officials said. An additional 78 people have since recovered from the illness.

One person in the county — a Buda woman in her 80s — has died from the virus. Her death was reported April 13.

About 25% of the patients are in their 30s, and about 39% of the cases are people 50 or older.

The breakdown of all 160 reported cases — which includes recoveries and active cases — by city is:

Buda: 21
