Thursday forecast for Austin: It looks like the day will have a little bit of everything — sunshine, clouds, rain, no rain, hot temperatures and cool temperatures.
Skies will be partly sunny during the day with a 30% chance of rain, mainly after 5 p.m., the National Weather Service said. Temperatures will peak at a high near 90 degrees.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day, mostly east of Interstate 35, the weather service said.
The 30% chance of rain will last until 8 p.m., forecasters said.
Skies will become mostly cloudy at night and temperatures will drop to a low around 74 degrees.
South-southeast winds blowing 5 to 10 mph at night will have gusts as high as 20 mph, forecasters said.
Friday will have higher chances for rain, according to the weather service’s extended forecast:
Friday: Cloudy with a 50% chance of rain, mainly after 8 a.m., and a high near 86. South-southeast winds blowing 5 to 10 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Mostly cloudy at night with a 50% chance of rain, mainly before 8 p.m., and a low around 73.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain before 8 a.m. and a high near 90. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 75.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain after 8 a.m. and a high near 90. South winds blowing 5 to 10 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Mostly cloudy at night with a 30% chance of rain before 8 p.m. and a low around 76.
Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 93. South winds blowing 5 to 10 mph could have 20 mph gusts. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 76.
Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 93. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 76.
Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 94.
