Monday forecast for Austin: Happy Monday, y’all! The day will be gloomy with foggy skies in the morning, the National Weather Service said.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for Travis, Bastrop, Williamson, Hays and Caldwell counties, the weather service said.

During the advisory, visibility will be low. Forecasters said drivers should slow down, use headlights and leave distance in between vehicles.

Once the fog clears out, skies will be mostly cloudy during the day with a high near 79 degrees, forecasters said.

Skies will be mostly cloudy at night with a 20% chance of rain and a low around 62.

Patchy fog and isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible after 3 a.m., forecasters said.

Here’s a look at the rest of the week, according to the weather service’s extended forecast:

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 9 a.m. and then cloudy with a 40% chance of rain and a high near 67. Cloudy at night with a 50% of rain and a low around 48.

Wednesday: High near 52 with an 80% chance of rain. Low of 43 with a 90% chance of rain at night.

Thursday: Cloudy with a 70% of rain and a high near 48. North-northeast winds will be blowing 10 to 15 mph through the evening. Cloudy at night with a low around 37.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 52. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 40.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain and a high near 58. Mostly cloudy at night with a 30% chance of rain and a low around 50.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain and high near 66.
