The high temperature for the day will be near 88 degrees, which is almost 15 degrees warmer than normal.
March 24 in Austin normally sees a high of 74 degrees, according to climate data.

Skies will be clear at night as temperatures decrease to a low of 58 degrees, forecasters said.
The rest of the week will have highs in the 80s and 90s, according to the weather service’s extended forecast:

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90. Partly cloudy at night with a low around 67.
Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 90. Mostly cloudy at night with a 20% chance of rain and a low around 63.
Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 77. Mostly clear at night with a low around 51.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 76. Mostly cloudy at night with a low around 54.
Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain and a high near 72.
