Job, resource fair
set for Tuesday
The city of Austin will host a free Fair Chance Hiring Job and Resource Fair from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Greater Mount Zion Church, 4301 Tannehill Lane, to provide an opportunity for the community to network and connect with area employers to learn about career opportunities.
Job seekers can meet face-to-face with recruiters and representatives from public, private and temporary staffing agencies, as well as organizations with resources to assist with securing employment. The job fair will be open to people from all backgrounds.
The city is expecting about 30 employers and other organizations to participate.

BUDA
City to celebrate
Black History Month
The city of Buda will celebrate Black History Month on Feb. 29 at the Public Library, 405 E. Loop St., Building 100.
The presentation and performances will begin at 2 p.m., and family activities will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Activities will include art, stories, music and movement.

CEDAR PARK
Dementia event
set for Tuesday
Cedar Park Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, 2100 S. Lakeline Blvd., is hosting Dementia Live, an event designed to help caregivers and family members experience the challenges of living with dementia at 2:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Dementia Live is a program designed by a team of dementia experts from AGE-ucate Training Institute. Dementia Live uses special gear to help simulate the cognitive impairments and sensory changes that are part of living with dementia.
Participants will gain a sense of the obstacles and difficulties those living with dementia face on a daily basis.
