A decomposed body was found Thursday in a wooded area near U.S. 183 in North Austin, police said.
Austin police responded around 2:50 p.m. to a call reporting a body found near U.S. 183 and Lakeline Boulevard, officials said.
The person has not been identified and police could not immediately say what the person’s gender, age or race was, officials said.
Police have not determined whether the death was suspicious, pending an autopsy to determine the person’s cause and manner of death.
