Two more people in Comal County have died from the coronavirus, bringing the county’s total deaths related to the disease to 127, health officials said on Tuesday.
A man from New Braunfels died Monday in a New Braunfels hospital. He was in his 70s. Another man from New Braunfels, who was in his 80s, died on Nov. 15, officials said.
The county also reported 60 new cases of COVID-19, the disease related to the coronavirus. The county’s total cases is now 4,418.
Of the new cases, one was backlogged and recently added to county data, officials said.
The county has 403 active and probable coronavirus cases, with 16 people hospitalized. Comal County hospitals reported more than 16 coronavirus patients on Tuesday, because not all county residents are in area-hospitals and some hospitals are caring for residents from outside the county, officials said.
Hospitals reported having 29 coronavirus patients, with 10 in intensive care and seven on ventilators.
