A man died Monday in a New Braunfels hospital from the coronavirus, bringing Comal County’s total deaths related to the disease to 128, health officials said on Wednesday.
The man was from New Braunfels and was in his 60s, officials said.
Comal County also reported 49 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 4,467. Of the new cases, 35 are confirmed and 14 are probable.
The county’s seven-day positivity rate is now 10.76%, officials said.
Comal County hospitals reported 32 coronavirus patients, including nine in intensive care and seven on ventilators. Not all patients are county residents.
Of the county’s 441 active coronavirus cases, 16 people are hospitalized.
