Comal County health officials Saturday confirmed a third positive case of COVID-19, the illness associated with the new coronavirus.
Health officials confirmed the case overnight Friday, but did not announce it to the public until Saturday evening. The case appears to be travel related, health officials said.
The patient self-quarantined since returning home, according to officials in a statement Saturday.
As of 3 p.m. Saturday, Comal County had received reports of 47 tests conducted, including the three positive results.
