Austin police are asking the public to help investigators identify a man suspected of robbing three convenience stores with a firearm in the past two weeks.

The robber threatened store employees with a firearm and ran off with cash and cigarettes at these locations in East Austin, police said:

2157 Gaston Place on Feb. 14.
5000 Springdale Road on Feb. 25
7101 Ed Bluestein Blvd. on Feb. 23

Police described the robber as a man about 30 to 40 years old with long braids or dreadlocks past his shoulders, a long, thin goatee tied in a ponytail with a rubber band, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10.

He was last seen wearing a plain, dark blue baseball cap, a dark zip-up hoodie or jacket, blue jeans and dark gray or black tennis shoes with a small white logo and white soles, police said.
