On the job for less than two years, Lakeway Building and Development Services Director Charlotte Hodges submitted her resignation May 12. She began the position on Sept. 18, 2018, and her last day will be May 26.
“It has been a privilege to serve the City of Lakeway over the last year and a half and I am blessed to have worked with and learned from so many wonderful citizens, customers, staff members, directors and leaders,” Hodges wrote in an email.
As the head of the department, she directed its management while interpreting and applying city and state regulations; developed strategic planning objectives for the city; supervised building, development and code enforcement; and prepared and presented reports to city officials and council members.
While serving the city, Hodges spearheaded revisions to Lakeway’s Code of Ordinances, proposing updates to antiquated provisions as well as new regulations to keep up with the changing community.
