Three new cases of COVID-19, the disease linked to the coronavirus, were reported in Comal County on Monday, health officials said Tuesday.
The county now has a total of 52 cases of the disease.
The new patients are from New Braunfels, Bulverde and the north side of Canyon Like. All the patients — who are in their 20s, 30s and 50s — are self-isolating, officials said.
So far, a total of 36 people in the county have recovered from COVID-19 and six people have died.
Ten cases of the disease remain active with three people hospitalized, officials said.
Comal County residents can now go online to receive a screening for COVID-19 testing at www.txcovidtest.org or by calling 512-883-2400.
Drive-thru testing is free and available at Canyon High School in New Braunfels, 1510 Interstate 35, for those with appointments, officials said.
Testing remains available via drive-thru at a site operated by physicians and employees from Comal County, the city of New Braunfels and other agencies. To make an appointment there, residents can call 830-312-7980.
