Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo issued a stay home-work safe order for her fellow residents Tuesday morning to help combat the coronavirus.
The order goes into effect at midnight. Harris County includes most of Houston.
“Folks should stay home except for essential needs,” Hidalgo said.
