Austin police are searching for a man who fired a weapon into a North Austin restaurant Tuesday night, wounding a person inside.
Officers responded at 10 p.m. to reports of a shooting at a shopping center in the 9700 block of North Lamar Boulevard, according to police. A person was found with a gunshot wound not expected to be life-threatening, police said.
Witnesses told authorities that after an argument occurred at a restaurant in the shopping center, one man involved in the dispute left but came back with a gun and fired at least one shot into the window of the building.
Police said the shooter left the shopping center before officers arrived.
Authorities on Wednesday had not yet identified a suspect or announced any arrests.
