Round Rock makes another ’best city’ list

Round Rock again finds itself near the top of the heap as the Round Rock-Austin metropolitan area landed among the best performing cities in the U.S., according to a recent study.

The Milken Institute, a nonpolitical think tank, ranked the region as No. 3 in its annual Best Performing Cities series, which has tracked the economic performance of metros across the country for more than two decades.

Round Rock-Austin is one of two Texas metro areas to make the top 10, with Dallas-Plano-Irving coming in at No. 9. The San Francisco-Redwood City-South San Francisco area placed first.

The study takes into account job growth, wage and salary growth, and growth domestic product indicators in its analysis of urban economies.

More information on the methodology used and a complete ranking can be found online at tinyurl.com/bestregions.
