Library extends

operating hours

The Buda Public Library, 405 E. Loop St., Building 100, has extended its hours of operations.

The library will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Curbside pickup hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays and from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Books can be returned any time in the outdoor book drop.

ROUND ROCK

Input sought on

Kenney Fort extension

The city of Round Rock, Williamson County and the Texas Department of Transportation are seeking public feedback on a project to construct along Kenney Fort Boulevard.

A virtual public hearing for the proposed project will be from 10 a.m. Thursday through 11:59 p.m. Friday, and it will include a pre-recorded video presentation with audio and visual components. Additional materials, including exhibits and supporting documents such as environmental reports, will be available.

Comments must be received by Dec. 18 by emailing kenneyfortblvd@gmail.com, calling 512-815-3240 or by mail to Stacey Benningfield, Suite 300, 13809 Research Blvd., Austin TX 78750.

An in-person session will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Round Rock Transportation Department Training Room, 3400 Sunrise Road.

SMITHVILLE

Holiday market

set for Saturday

The city of Smithville will present the Festival of Lights Outdoor Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in Smithville.

Outdoor vendor booths will be on Main Street. Photos with Santa Claus will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $5. The evening lighted parade has been canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Nominate someone

to receive free roof

Ja-Mar Roofing and Sheet Metal is seeking nominations from the community to provide families in need of shelter with a new roof as part of a new initiative, Keep Austin Roofed.

People can nominate a deserving family, and families can nominate themselves. The Ja-Mar executive team will choose a beneficiary in March 2021.

LAKEWAY

Activity Center hosts

free movie Saturday

The Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, will host a free outdoor screening of “The Polar Express” from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event will include miniature train rides. Space is limited, so reservations are required by emailing events@lakeway-tx.gov with a name and how many will be attending.
