Hays County health authorities on Tuesday said 55 more people in the area have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total case count in the county to 7,097.

County officials did not report any new deaths from coronavirus-related complications, and the pandemic death toll for the area remained at 99 on Tuesday.

County health officials on Tuesday also reported three more coronavirus-related hospital admissions, along with one new discharge.

Of the 426 county residents have been hospitalized with COVID-19 during the pandemic, 14 were in medical facilities on Tuesday, according to local health authorities.

County health authorities also said 82 more people had recovered from the virus as of Tuesday, and the total estimated number of recoveries is now 6,290.

Hays County health officials said they have now received 48,164 negative coronavirus test results.

The local health department in Hays County has corrected its data several times since the start of the pandemic and recently has said it will now review its data each week, making necessary updates to its online dashboards each Friday. The American-Statesman will report changes in its Friday coronavirus reports.

The breakdown of all 7,097 reported cases, which includes recoveries and active cases, by city is:

Creedmoor: 1

Driftwood: 65

Dripping Springs: 216

Kyle: 2,262

Manchaca: 8

Maxwell: 9

Mountain City: 16

Niederwald: 33

San Marcos: 3,092

Uhland: 23

Wimberley: 138

Woodcreek: 2
