San Marcos police are investigating a home invasion that took place at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the Grove at San Marcos apartments, 1150 E. River Ridge Parkway, east of Interstate 35 around 12:05 p.m.

A woman who was home at the time told police that a man kicked in the front door, began opening bedroom doors and then came face-to-face with her inside one of the bedrooms.

She said the man pointed a gun at her briefly before leaving the apartment and fleeing in a vehicle with a driver.

The armed man and the driver were not found and the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking the public for help in solving this crime.

The man was last seen wearing all black clothes with a black ski mask, and was about 6-foot-2, police said. The man got into a 2006 to 2013 white Chevrolet Impala with dark tinted windows and headed south on I-35 toward New Braunfels, the woman told police. The car has a dent on the front hood just above the grill.

Anyone with more information about the incident or the vehicle should call police detectives at 512-753-2306 or email paubry@sanmarcostx.gov.
