A man accused of shooting a person in the leg at an apartment complex in Cedar Park on Tuesday has been arrested, according to a police news release
William Belton Perry, 54, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
The U.S. marshals office, working with the Lonestar Fugitive Task Force, arrested Perry on Monday, the release said.
Police responded at 8 p.m. Tuesday to a call about a man being shot in the leg at an apartment complex at 11908 Anderson Mill, according to the release. It said the victim told police he had had an argument with Perry the day before the shooting.
Perry confronted the victim when the victim got home on Tuesday and shot at him many times, hitting him once in the leg, police said.
Perry fled after the shooting, the release said.
He was being booked into the Williamson County Jail on Monday.
