Kyle police and the Hays County SWAT team responded to an incident in the parking lot of a Kyle Walmart Saturday evening, according to a city spokesperson.
Police arrived at the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. at a Walmart located at 5754 Kyle Parkway.
Police deployed a taser and a diversionary device during the incident, the spokesperson said.
A subject is now in custody and is being treated for self-inflicted wounds, the spokesperson said.
