Kind Clinic to open
new location in fall
Texas Health Action, an Austin-based nonprofit that advances sexual wellness by providing health care in a safe and supportive environment, will open a new Kind Clinic location this fall.
Kind Clinic is a sexual health and wellness provider in Central Texas with no out-of-pocket costs to patients. The new location at 2800 S. Interstate 35 will be the first Kind Clinic to have an in-house pharmacy.
Through Kind Clinic, Texas Health Action is dedicated to providing access to the HIV prevention drug PrEP, pre-exposure prophylaxis, at little-to-no cost.
The new 6,550-square-foot Kind Clinic will double the organization’s capacity to provide access to HIV prevention drugs, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, HIV testing and care for people living with HIV and gender-affirming care.

ROCKNE
Mobile food market
on Saturday morning
The Bastrop County Food Access and Nutrition Project will host its second in a series of mobile food markets in Rockne as part of a pilot project to increase food access and test a new food access model in rural Bastrop.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Rockne Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2527, 1503 FM 20.
Farmshare Austin’s Fresh for Less Mobile Markets provide affordable, Texas-grown produce and shelf-stable goods to residents who would otherwise travel up to 10 miles to get fresh produce at the nearest grocery store. Over half of the fresh fruits and vegetables sold at the markets comes from Farmshare’s organic teaching farm.

Beekeeping class
taught Saturday
Master Gardener Jennifer Harbour will lead the free Hands-On in the Garden series where participants can learn about beekeeping and bee friendly plants.
The two-hour training, which starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, will be at 3151 SE Inner Loop.
