Travis County deputies have arrested a man accused of following a woman shopping for groceries, breaking into her house near Bee Cave and robbing her at gunpoint, Travis County sheriff’s officials said Monday night.
Authorities responded to a call in the morning of Feb. 11 from the 12200 block of Lake Stone Drive, officials said. Deputies found the woman bound inside her home, they said.
Parking lot and neighborhood surveillance footage shows a man targeted the victim at a local store and followed her home, officials said.
Detectives used the evidence to identify the vehicle and determined that one of the people who use it, 52-year-old Andra Lacarlus Allen, matched the victim’s description of the suspect and resembled the man caught on surveillance video.
U.S. Marshals arrested Allen on Monday afternoon and charged with aggravated robbery, a first degree felony punishable with up to life in prison. His bail has been set at $150,000.
The case is still under investigation and anyone with more information about Allen is asked to call Travis County sheriff’s tip line at 512-854-1444.
