Bartholomew Pool
closing for maintenance
Bartholomew Pool, 1800 E. 51st St., Austin, will close Feb. 24 due to a required maintenance project and is projected to reopen March 6.
The pool will open for normal weekend operating hours, 1-5 p.m., Feb. 29 through March 1.

Community meeting
Wednesday on project
The Colony at Cole Springs project development teams, Meritage Homes and M/I Homes, encourage Buda residents to attend a community meeting to learn more about the project at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Buda City Hall, 405 E. Loop St.
The Colony at Cole Springs is a proposed in-city Municipal Utility District comprising 531 residential units on the west side of Buda, south of Old Black Colony Road. Public improvements proposed for the project include a new regional collector road, improvements to Cole Springs Road and Old Black Colony Road, public open space and trails, bike lanes and a new bridge over Onion Creek.
On Feb. 4, the City Council voted to table the discussion regarding a resolution on the city’s acceptance of a petition for full-purpose annexation.

Ticket deadline
for Soiree 2020
The ticket deadline for Soiree 2020 to benefit the Georgetown Project, CASA of Williamson County and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center is Saturday.
The event will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Sheraton, 1101 Woodlawn St. Beads, masks and street entertainers will be featured.

Animal Shelter has
Valentine’s special
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop, will be open Monday on Presidents Day, to welcome those wanting to adopt a pet.
Those who visit the shelter this holiday weekend are encouraged to ask about the Valentine’s Day special. The shelter is spreading the love by offering a $14 adoption fee for large adult dogs and adult cats.
