Williamson County health officials on Wednesday said a 12th person has died from COVID-19, the disease linked to the coronavirus.
While officials said they could not disclose much information about the patient because of privacy rules, they did confirm the person was a man in his 90s.
“It is heartbreaking to report the county’s 12th death,“ Judge Bill Gravell said in a statement. ”I am reminded that we are still in the fight against this deadly disease, and it will take all of us doing our part to keep our loved ones, and others in our community safe.“
In addition to the death Wednesday, Williamson County reported eight new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 341 confirmed cases.
As many as 199 people have recovered from the disease in the county, officials said Wednesday.
Officials said 12 patients are hospitalized and two are on ventilators.
