AUSTIN (KXAN) — All lanes of I-35 northbound near the Parmer Lane exit are closed Thursday morning after a deadly crash.
According to the Austin Police Department, around 2:16 a.m., an 18-wheeler and a small vehicle collided on the main lanes of I-35.
According to APD, a 911 call was made regarding a wrong-way driver going south on northbound I-35 ahead of the crash. APD said the driver of the vehicle heading the wrong way died.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, traffic is being diverted at the Braker Lane exit. TxDOT said the road would likely remain closed for hours.
