AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Williamson County corrections officer was placed on administrative leave with pay after he was arrested Monday.
Jake Irvan Jimenez was charged with felony family violence assault stemming from an incident at his home outside of Jarrell in late September, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Crimes Unit opened a formal investigation in to the allegations on Sept. 30.
KXAN is working to find attorney information for Jimenez. We will reach out to his representation for a response to the accusations when that information becomes available.
“The seriousness of these allegations does not reflect the values or commitment of the dedicated men and women of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, who work each day to ensure the safety and well-being of our community,” Sheriff Matthew Lindemann said in the release.
Jimenez has been a corrections officer with the Williamson County jail for two and a half years, the release said.
He turned himself in to the Williamson County jail on Monday morning, WCSO said.
