AUSTIN (KXAN) — Williamson County and Waste Management are set to host a household hazardous waste clean-up event on October 25, according to a press release.
The event will take place at the Williamson County Central Maintenance Facility, located at 3151 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Williamson County provided a list of items that are acceptable for disposal, which includes:
- Automotive products such as antifreeze, batteries, brake fluid, and transmission fluid.
- Household chemicals such as cleaning products, acids, and lighter fluid.
- Lawn and garden supplies such as herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, paint, and solvents.
The county wanted to highlight that certain items, such as hazardous and industrial waste, medical items, and business waste, will not be accepted at this event.
Additionally, bins or baskets used to transport items will not be returned, according to the press release.
The event is open to all Williamson County residents, the county said.
