CENTRAL TEXAS (KXAN) — The latest on weather watches and warnings as storms move through Central Texas:

6:40 p.m. update

Power lines in San Marcos and Martindale were damaged and tangled up by debris caught up in Friday’s severe weather knocking out power to some areas. Crews arrived quickly to the scene to work on repairs.

There are 38 low water crossings closed in the area right now.

We are experiencing a power outage of about 60 customers along Mockingbird, Parkview, Belmont and De Zavala streets. Lighting struck the top of the pole and there is a line down. Crews are en route to this location. pic.twitter.com/IlF5uvTHoT

5:04 p.m. update

Inclement weather in the Austin area is currently affecting CapMetro service, systemwide. We are currently experiencing rail crossing arm malfunctions are several of our rail crossings, including at IH35, 38 1/2 St, and 45 St, which is causing heavy traffic.

4:45 p.m. update

Autin-Travis County EMS was forced to close and Interstate Highway 35 in both directions at U.S. Highway 290 due to severe weather. It has since been reopened.

UPDATE: I-35 has reopened in both directions at US 290 East. Heavy rain is making driving hazardous. Take it easy on the roads. #my35 #atxtraffic

4:30 p.m. update

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Austin, San Marcos and Kyle until 7:30 p.m.

There are 15 road crossings closed in Travis County due to rising flood waters. The full map of all closures can be found here.
