Shortly before 8:30 p.m., UTPD said it responded to the shots-fired call near MLK Jr. Blvd. and Robert Dedman Drive. That’s near the LBJ Presidential Library, which is set to host a presidential visit from President Joe Biden Monday.

Campus police later sent out an alert and described the suspect as a white man with long black hair. He was last seen wearing a white and black flannel shirt and a black backpack, according to UTPD. Anyone who sees him should call 911 and do not approach him.

UTPD said people nearby need to the avoid the area. If they are in the immediate area, they are asked to “please stay indoors as officers continue to investigate.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
