AUSTIN (KXAN) — A jury in Travis County sentenced a man to serve 99 years in prison on child sex assault charges following an Oct. 9 conviction.
According to the Travis County District Attorney’s Office, 28-year-old Jenner Ramirez was convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child by contact. The offenses date as far back as 2017, according to county court records.
Ramirez was found guilty on all charges he faced except one count of indecency with a child by contact, according to the DA’s office.
The jury sentenced Ramirez to serve 99 years for each aggravated sexual assault of a child conviction and 15 years for his indecency with a child by contact conviction. The sentences will run concurrently, according to the DA’s office.
Travis County DA José Garza said he hoped the verdict helps the victim on their healing journey.
