TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — On Tuesday, Travis County Judge Andy Brown is set to host the fourth annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony to hoist the Progress Pride Flag at the Travis County Administration Building from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The press release said in 2021, the Travis County Commissioners Court voted for the first time to approve the flying of the flag over the Travis County Administration Building.
The government direction was part of a resolution that adopted comprehensive policies that prohibit contractors from discriminating against race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or veteran status.
The ceremony will feature remarks from Brown, the Travis County Commissioners Court and Travis County LGBTQIA leaders. The event is open to the public, and organizers request interested attendees RSVP.
