AUSTIN (KXAN) — The No. 2 Texas volleyball team remained undefeated after dispatching Alabama in four sets Sunday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Set scores were 20-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-18.

After dropping the first set, in which they had the same number of kills as they did errors, the Longhorns responded with their best hitting set of the match. They pounded 17 kills against two errors in 39 attempts for a .385 hitting percentage to put the set away, and then followed it up with another great performance of 19 kills and four errors in the next set.
Texas’ best hitting set coincided with Alabama’s worst. The Crimson Tide hit .095 in the second set with 10 kills and six errors in 42 attempts. Texas hit .262 and Alabama hit .148 for the match.
Torrey Stafford continued her tremendous season for the Longhorns, leading the attack with 17 kills. Abby Vander Wal notched 13 and Ayden Ames had 11 to go with four blocks. Ella Swindle had 32 set assists, and libero Emma Halter was all over the floor defensively with 25 digs.
Texas (14-0, 6-0 SEC) takes on Arkansas at home at 6:30 p.m. Friday and then hosts Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
