AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died after a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle in northwest Austin last month, according to Austin Police.
The Austin Police Department identified the driver of the vehicle who died as Erik Tobias Billingsley, 22.
The crash happened on Aug. 31 just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of the U.S. Highway 183 service road southbound and McNeil Drive.
APD said officers responded to the crash, and Billingsley was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
APD said the motorcyclist, who was not impaired, stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The crash is being investigated as Austin’s 70th deadly crash of the year, resulting in 74 deaths.
