We have a chance of a few showers expected to roll back in Saturday evening, heading into Sunday as tropical moisture from the Eastern Pacific starts to make its way into Texas. This will take our temperatures down from 92° with spotty showers, to heavier showers on Sunday with a high of 89°
Longhorn City Limits
The game may take place on Saturday at 11 a.m., but the morning is going to be a party. Longhorn City Limits is kicking off this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. on the LBJ Lawn with multiple acts performing. Y’all Out Boy will get things going first, and Cory Morrow will perform after the game finishes. There will be plenty to do, including Tito’s Tailgate, plenty of BBQ, and more. Show up, support the Longhorns, and have fun!

Longhorns vs. San Jose State
The Longhorns may have taken the L on the first game, but they are coming home to play their first game at DKR Memorial Stadium for the season. Arch and the team are taking on San Jose State University in front of the burnt orange and white crowd. Kick off is at 11 a.m. with tickets only on resell, but there are plenty of places around town that will have the game on the big screen. The Longhorns have dropped to #7 while San Jose isn’t in the Top 25. So will the Longhorns leave fans with a happy homecoming? Let’s find out!

Brazil Day ATX
The heart and soul of Brazil will mix with Austin this Saturday, September 6th, at the RADIO/EAST. Presented by Cultura Brasil Austin, the event runs from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and features everything Brazilian including a Samba Percussion, the best in Brazilian Food, a Kids area, and a ton of music by bands from all over. Tickets are still on sale now, and all proceeds go to support Cultura Brasil Austin, a non-profit dedicated to celebrating and sharing Brazilian Culture. For more information, visit their website.

Bat Fest 2025
Over 1.5 million bats call Austin home, and you can celebrate them with the annual Bat Fest. They may look scary, but bats are extremely important to the Austin ecosystem. Bat Fest takes place every year to celebrate these majestic nightly creatures and to educate the public on the Mexican Free-Tail Bats that call Austin home. There will be a ton to do, including checking out plenty of bands performing, a kids zone, food and drinks, arts and crafts vendors, and bats. Dog Days of Summer Pool Party
Grab the pup and put on some swim trunks! The City of Leander is putting on its Dog Days of Summer Swimming Pool Party at the Robin Bledsoe Swimming Pool on Saturday, September 6. Located on 601 S Bagdad Road and taking place from noon to 3 p.m., the event is only $5 per dog. There will be vendors, door prizes, awards, and so much more. Crescendo Benefit Concert
There is nothing like hearing a room of singers perform and fill an auditorium with music, and you’ll be able to enjoy some of the Austin Gay Men’s Chorus. With two different concert times, AGMC Crescendo: A Benefit Concert will be this Saturday, September 6, at the KMFA studios on 41 Navasota Street in East Austin at 6 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from the concert support the work AGMC does.
